Steven Pinsky has over 20 years of
diverse business improvement, M&A, Corporate Finance and Line Operation experience from a Private Equity, Corporate Development,
Service Provider and Investment Banking perspective. His background spans numerous industries including Manufacturing, Consumer
Goods, Music Publishing, B2B E-Commerce & Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, Metalworking, Sheet Metal
Fabrication, Construction, Hospitality, and Rail Transit.
Steven is a unique consultant in that he has held various
full time and interim senior management positions including CFO, SVP of Corporate Development and EVP of Operations.
Steven was CFO and SVP of Corporate Development for a private equity backed skincare manfuacturing company. In that
role, he completely reengineed and professionalized the entire finance, accounting, FP&A and M&A departments supporting
a top line growth of close to 50%. He also served as EVP of Operations and Finance, in addition to being part of the
investment and senior management team, during the acquisition and turn around of several companies in the Pet Product
space. Prior to that, Steven was founder and Practice Leader of the Private Equity Services Practice at
a top 15 accounting/consulting firm. He also founded that firm's Transaction Services practice servicing the due diligence
and acquisition analysis needs of PE backed and private companies. He also spend several years as an investment banker as
a Vice-President of Josephthal & Co., a New York based investment bank catering to the M&A and financial needs
of Middle Market companies. Steven's client list ranged from small start-ups to larger public companies such as 3M and Business
Loan Center.
Prior to Josephthal, Steven spent several years with MSC Industrial Supply standardizing and implementing
their pre-closing Acquisition activities during an industry consolidation. Duties also included the development of several
value-added Business Development programs and strategic initiatives including their early stage e-commerce programs.
Steven also has several years of International M&A and post-integration turnaround experience as a result of his time
with Itochu International, a Japanese trading firm and one of the world's largest companies. During his time at Itochu, he
participated in the acquisition and post-acquisition integration of five companies in the rail transit and manufacturing industries.
Prior to receiving his MBA, He spent four years as a Mechanical Engineer providing services in the aerospace
and building construction industries.
Steven is currently a member of the Alumni Advisory Board for the George
Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech and is a former Member of the Wharton Alumni Executive Board.
He also previously sat on the advisory board of the Alliance of M&A Advisors (AM&AA). Steven also founded and
was a five-time host of the Due Diligence Symposium.
He has
a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with High Honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and
an MBA from The Wharton School of Business. Steven also completed a Certificate course in Private Equity and Venture Capital from the Harvard Business School.
